Louise Bourgeois once stated that: “An artist may refuse to grow up.” We think that you have more than a couple of words to tell about this quotation.
This quote summarizes my life philosophy. I have always scared to be a stereotypical ‘adult’. Actually, I can regard this issue as my biggest phobia. I am so glad that I have never lost my childlike character.
How does it feel to be known as ‘free girl’?
She is my hero! My entire story has started with this brave woman. She was born coincidentally and sealed my fate with her sword. I love and maintain her.
How does it feel to be a woman living in the intersection point of the eastern and western culture?
It is not easy to be a ‘woman’ in every part of the world. It brings out many obstacles not only in Turkey, but also in western countries. We can express that being a woman in Middle East can be estimated as harder than many places. Luckily, while I was following my dreams, I didn’t hit the walls.
How can you describe your musical evolution since the beginning?
It’s very difficult to examine this evolution. I don’t have a specific genre or style. To be honest, I can define myself as a fax machine. I try to reflect and demonstrate the things which are brought out by the universe. And I am pretty happy to be in this way. Nowadays, I express myself not only by singing also by words.
How do you keep and raise your positive vibration while you are on the stage? Do you have a special formula?
I have a super energetic character. You can spot me while I am running with a luminous pink dress and I am sure that you won’t find it odd. This is my formula.
What are your future plans?
Living with love! As I am doing now.
